Jaine E. Fraser Ph.D.





Dr. Jaine E. Fraser is a leading expert on trial psychology and jury selection. For more than 20 years, Dr. Fraser's psychology research and clinical practice has focused on group dynamics and group opinion formation. Through the Trial Psychology Institute, she uses her expertise and insights into the human psyche - and how group think affects it - to help high-powered litigators win the country's most challenging jury cases.

Barry Nash




Barry Nash works with TPI clients to develop, frame and test arguments for trial, and to develop strategies for jury selection. A gifted focus group moderator, he is known for his ability to engage panelists in ways that elicit exceptionally rich and reliable information. His experience includes a broad range of civil and criminal cases, and attorneys use his insights to support the voir dire process and to fine-tune their documents, presentations and arguments. Barry is also an exceptional presentation skills coach. In addition to his work with TPI client attorneys, he is highly regarded for his work with television news journalists. He currently serves as the principle performance coach for the anchors and reporters of CNN.




Ellen Presby




Ellen Presby assists other trial lawyers in theme development, witness preparation, focus groups, and jury selection. Her more than 20 years of experience as a trial lawyer, working on issues related to jury perspective and bias, gives her an edge in this practice. She immerses herself in the facts of the case, helping the lawyer to understand the strength and weaknesses of the case and to prepare in the presentation for both. She has consulted in jury selection in the following types of cases:
